The American College always has a list of special projects
which are waiting for funding from a special benefactor.
Always at the top of the list are scholarships for worthy seminarians
from dioceses unable to afford the tuition and fees of The American
College. Currently the costs are $18,400 for one year of study and
formation.
Here are the next in line (all estimated costs are subject to revision
upon review by the contractor):
- A new roof for the “Rector’s House” and graduate and sabbatical
residence building. This roof is leaking significantly and needs
total replacement (the roof is 50-65 years old!) Estimated replacement
costs with insulation, $350,000.
- Bathroom and Shower repair and renovation for the seminarian
residences, $25,000 for each floor.
- Our formal guest suites in the “Rector’s House” are in need of
repair and restoration, approximately $10,000 per suite.
- 17th-century Cistercian, “Aulne Chapel,” in our back gardens,
repair and restoration, approximately, $25,000.
- A small, economical, car (diesel) for pastoral assignments
transportation and Seminary business, $15,000.
- New Altar and Ambo and sanctuary furniture for our 19th century
Chapel, costs to be determined.
- Stations of the Cross for the Chapel, costs to be determined.
There are many other special projects both big and small. Please let
us know what might interest you so that we can find a project that is
just the right fit. Please consider one of these projects in memory or
in honor of a loved one. We would be honored to acknowledge this gift
with a memorial plaque.
Contact the Rector or the Development Director or you may simply return
to the “Support the Seminary” page for information on how gifts can be
easily made.
